Registration for Siege at the Core 2026 is open

Registration is open. Siege at the Core 2026 runs from Friday December 4 to Sunday December 6 at Quartier Papier in Zaventem, Belgium, and it is the final European Grand Contest of 2026, officially sanctioned by Erik’s Curiosa.

This is the third edition. We started in 2024 with a Discord server and a handful of people who wanted to play. Two editions later the weekend carries a Grand Contest badge, and that is your doing as much as ours. We are very proud of it!

The weekend

Friday December 4, Booster Draft.
Doors and registration at 17:30, dinner at 18:00, first pack at 19:00. Five rounds of Swiss. One pack each of Beta, Arthurian Legends and Gothic.

Saturday December 5, Constructed Grand Contest.
Doors at 09:00, round 1 at 09:30. Seven rounds of Swiss and a Top 8. Lunch and dinner included.

Saturday evening, side drafts.
Optional, and running while the Top 8 plays out. Eight players to a pod.

Sunday December 6, Sealed.
Doors at 09:00, deckbuilding at 09:30. Six rounds of Swiss. Lunch included. Six packs of Gothic.

New cards on the table

Frost Mage vs Lavamancer releases on November 13. Siege at the Core 2026 is the first European Grand Contest where those cards are tournament legal, so the Saturday metagame has three weeks of history behind it and nothing more. Expect the top tables to look different from anything you played this year.

What it costs

• Friday Booster Draft: 30 euro, dinner optional at 15
• Saturday Constructed Grand Contest: 70 euro, lunch and dinner included
• Sunday Sealed: 65 euro, lunch included
• All-in weekend: 170 euro, all three days and every meal
• Saturday evening draft: 25 euro

You pay online, with all the usual payment methods. After registering, you receive a confirmation email.

Seats

We open with 128 seats and we will only add more if the room allows it. Seats are going fast, so don’t wait too long. Registering early helps us too: we order the food and the boosters based on the numbers we have. The counter at the top of every page on this site is the live number.

Getting there and staying over

Trains, planes, parking and hotels are all on the practical page. One warning worth repeating: book to Brussels Airport (BRU), which sits just over a kilometre from the venue. Brussels South Charleroi is an hour and a half away despite the name.
